Capturing Passion

My passion for art began at the age of four, when I created my very first painting—a horse running through a field, painted on a white ceramic plate at a French European preschool in Massy, France. Even at that young age, I had a natural instinct for color, movement, shape, proportion, and composition. What began as a childhood fascination would eventually become a lifelong artistic journey.

At the age of seven, I moved to Canada, where sports quickly became a major part of my life. Although athletics became my main activity, I never stopped drawing. I filled my schoolbooks and every available piece of paper with sketches, constantly observing and capturing the world around me through art.

In 1989, I graduated from a private design school in Montreal as a Creative Design Artist, earning the distinction of “Best Student.” That same year, I began my professional career as a Graphic Designer. Eight years later, I founded my own design agency, where I pursued a successful career in graphic design for the next 20 years.

Throughout those years, my passion for drawing and visual expression never disappeared. In 2006, I returned to painting and created my first sports portrait, Ken Dryden — “The Pose,” as a gift for one of my closest friends, a devoted hockey fan.

The response to that first painting was immediate and deeply encouraging. The appreciation and enthusiasm I received made me realize that I had found a new artistic direction—one that brought together my lifelong love of art and my passion for sports.

Today, I dedicate my creative time to painting sports legends and celebrities, capturing not only their likeness, but also the personality, emotion, energy, and iconic moments that have made them unforgettable.

Each painting is created with the intention of becoming more than a portrait. It is a personal tribute to an athlete, a memory, and the passion shared by the people who admire them.
